You don't need ten steps. A short routine you do every day usually gives better results than a long one you abandon after a week.
Step 1: cleanse
Use a gentle cleanser that doesn't leave your skin feeling tight. At night it's the most important step because it removes sunscreen, sweat and dirt. In the morning, if your skin is dry, water is enough.
Step 2: serum
Serum is the step with the most active ingredients. Apply 3 or 4 drops to clean, slightly damp skin and wait a few seconds before the next step.
Step 3: moisturize
A simple moisturizer helps your skin feel comfortable and supports its barrier. If your skin is oily, choose a gel texture; if it's dry, a richer one.
By day: sunscreen
It's the step that protects your results the most. Apply a generous amount every morning, even when it's cloudy, and reapply if you spend a lot of time outdoors.
Common mistakes
- Starting many new products at once: if something irritates, you won't know which one.
- Exfoliating every day.
- Skipping sunscreen.
- Expecting changes in a week.
Keep the same routine for at least 90 days before judging it. If you want a recommendation for your skin, take our skin quiz: it takes less than two minutes.
